Day 22: Which crafting season is your favourite and why OR Craft something that has silver on it
I think my favourite crafting season has got to be Christmas. For starters there are so many looks. There is the traditional feel with its rich colours and Victorian idealistic open fire, hanging stockings and jolly Father Christmas or the complete contrast of modern lighter colours with bold shapes and minimalistic elegance. And several hundred variations in between. I do tend to lean more towards the traditional as they are more my sort of colours and normally have an abundance of glitter and glitz. I love anything that sparkles and Christmas is the season it is in abundance. Its also the season that most people celebrate in one way or another unlike other celebrations or festivals that not everyone celebrates. But its not just about the cards either, as a crafter I can craft gifts too. Last year I crafted a a box wallet type thing thing out of card and then inserted treats like hot chocolate sachets, posh tea bags and candy canes. I can’t believe I didn’t take one picture of them but they were old vintage colours with lots of red and gold glitter. Looked absolutely lovely and a way of making a very cheap present a bit more special. It does mean though that I have to top that some how this year.
Keeping in with Christmas here are two silver christmas cards I made last year.
