Day 11: Dish the dirt on your biggest craft spend OR Craft something for a child recipient
Hmmmm I think my biggest single purchase was the bigshot. My OH was long suffering whilst I dithered and dallied over which one to buy. I think he was more excited than me when I finally ordered it. But I think the most of my money has been spent on *looks round make sure other half not watching* dies. It only takes a few spellbinder sets to have spent more money than the bigshot cost. And then if I added up all the promarkers I think I and the bank manager would most defiantly faint.
Its mainly all the cost side of it all that stopped me selling cards as a business. If I truly costed out my cards, the materials and my time and then not to forget your supposed to factor in profit too then no one would ever buy my cards. Not when you cards shops in town churning out cards at 5 for £1 !!!. Yes I know hand made are different, truly unique and individualised but there is also the fact that some crafters dont cost out their cards and undercharge. I dont want to make cards to be constantly battling with all that, I want to make cards because I enjoy it.
I am now trying not to mentally add up all the craft stuff in the cupboard.
