I am very lucky to be able to sell some of my homemade cards and tags in the corner shop where I work part-time. And a rather dormant crafting cupboard was brought to life today after a customers comment about cards with Merry Christmas in Cornish. ( This isn’t that daft an idea as I do live in Cornwall) Now not being all that up on Cornish language I did have to look it up and apparently Nadelik Lowen is Merry Christmas in Cornish.
I made a simple card with matching tags. I kept it all simple to keep the emphasis on the Cornish Merry Christmas.
I printed the phrase onto card and then trimmed to size. I used up old papers that have been hiding in the craft cupboard and used two stamps I bought last year ( the tree and the wreath with ribbon) the holly stamps were free with I think a very recent card making magazine ( sorry cant remember the name). Inked the edges with Tim Holtz inks and added some glitz with liquid pearls.
I finished off with some tags to match. Can’t wait to see the customer notice I did make up cards with her suggestion.
