Day 15: A day in your crafting life. Can be just words, words and pictures or just pictures OR Craft something that celebrates love
A day in crafting life. Hmmmm no two days are the same for me but if I do get to craft all day it goes something like this…
Before I have opened my eyes I have remembered the day is set for crafting. I smile from inside out and get out of bed earlier then I would normally. Cats fed, coffee made, kids woken I then check emails and work type stuff ( yes in my dressing gown) . Once kids have gone to school I then get dressed, make beds and clean kitchen. I then heave everything I need out of the craft cupboard onto the dining table. ( get coffee) I then spend most of the day cursing there isnt enough space, that the thing I want is hiding and that I really need to sort the craft cupboard again( more coffee). If I have managed to make anything showable I take a picture using my phone ( coffee) and get it out there on the social places. (coffee)
I try and have most things put away before the kids come home from school as otherwise they fiddle. So 3pm my lounge has returned to a lounge again( coffee). By the evening I quiet often get an order for the card I had made earlier in the day. Having made it once already the next day the card takes a fraction of the time though I still curse just as much that I need a craft room. At some point I will normally stop and oohhh and aahhh over pictures of craft rooms on pinterest. This gets me totally pee’d off. ( more coffee)
You probably noticed that on my craft days there wasnt much mention of food. I try not to do the food thing when I am crafting as crafting time is precious and I am clumsy.
Oh oh oh I have a card that celebrates love, dont faint everyone. Ok actually I found a few in the archives.
I wanted to do something a bit different so made a heart flower. Its a heart shape cut about 4 times but cut smaller each time. I then layered them up using foam mounts and then covered in glue and added flowers. Takes a bit of time and a load more time to dry but rather therapeutic adding the flowers. The backing paper is made with heat embossing and stamping. The buttons are die cut then covered in glossy accents and in the second colour way the word Love is glued and dunked in micro beads. The last picture is another take on the same card.
