My latest Easter card is quiet over the top but I think it still works as I kept to neutral colours.
I used :
- Spellbinders Crosses Two
- Tim Holtz mini tattered florals
- White and cream card
- Tim Holtz distressed ink in Vintage Photo
- Sizzix framelits , oval with ornate edges
- Small flower and leaf hand punches
- Cosmic shimmer glue in gold and white
- 20cm card blank
- Glue, guillotine, computer ( sentiment), big shot, sticky pads, embossing tool.
I cut the cream card to 19cm and inked the edges with the distressed ink. Then cut the white card to 18cm and inked the edges. I stuck them to the card blank so that it was white, cream and then white. In the cream card I die cut the oval with ornate edges and inked the edges with the distressed ink. I used the computer to create the sentiment on white card and then added it to a cream oval using foam pads. On the card I stuck in place with glue the sentiment oval then the ornate edges oval using foam pads.
Using the spellbinders crosses two I cut and embossed the largest cross ( the lattice looking one) middle size and smallest cross from the cream card. I then cut and embossed the remaining two crosses in the white card. Before removing the cream crosses from the die I inked over the top and edges with the distressed ink. I layered up the crossed so that it was cream, white, cream, whit e and then cream using sticky pads. I stuck the cross to the card using foam pads.
Using a selection of cream and white off cuts I punched and die cut the flowers and leaves. I used the distressed ink to ink the edges of the flowers and leaves to give a distressed look. Using a embossing tool I worked on the petals to give a domed affect. Then I stuck the flowers and leaves in place. No pattern , just what looked good.
Lastly I used the white cosmic shimmer glue around the ornate frame and the gold in the flower centres.
