Today I made an Easter Blessings card. Here is what I used and how I did it.
I Used :
- Spellbinders scalloped labels one
- Spellbinders Crosses Two
- Tim Holtz mini tattered florals
- Flower punch
- Cosmic shimmer pearl in white and gold
- Cream and white card
- 20cm white card blank
- Tim Holtz distressed ink in Victorian velvet
- Glue, guillotine, computer ( sentiment), big shot, sticky pads, embossing tool.
How: from the cream card I cut a square 20cm square and another at 18cm and then very lightly inked the edges in with Tim Holtz Victorian velvet distressed ink. Using the white card I cut a square 19cm . I then stuck them to the card blank so it ended up cream, white cream.
Using the spellbinders crosses two I cut and embossed the largest cross ( the lattice looking one) middle size and smallest cross from the white card. I then cut and embossed the remaining two crosses in the cream card. Before removing the cream crosses from the die I inked over the top and edges with Victorian velvet. I layered up the crossed so that it was white, cream, white, cream and white using sticky pads.
Using the Tim Holtz mini tattered florals I cut several cream flowers that I then inked the edges in the Victorian velvet. I cant remember the name or where I got the smaller flower hand punch but I am sure any will work. Again I inked the edges and then shaped with a embossing tool to give a more lifelike look.
I printed the sentiment out and then cut the 3rd smallest label. The cut a cream and white label and assembled them.
Then I put it all together. The cross in the top right corner and the sentiment in the bottom left. The flowers were added using no pattern but working by eye to what look good and balanced.
Lastly I used the cosmic shimmer to create flower centres.
