Day 17: Describe your perfect afternoon OR Craft something that has an animal theme
Hmmm my perfect afternoon. I have different variations and most of them hopefully happening this week as I have this week off.
My first is hopefully this afternoon. Its forecasted sunny so I camp out outside on the grass. A big picnic blanket, cushions and an umbrella to give shade when I get too hot. My kindle, cold drink and probably one of the cats. I love sitting reading my kindle in the garden as I seem to concentrate more and don’t nod off. If I try to read in bed I fall asleep before I have read the second word. Honestly I am useless. Anyway an afternoon on the picnic balnket in the garden. My fav spot is , hang on that sounds like have a huge rambling garden, I don’t. Its as wide as the house and twice as long and as a live in house the size of a dolls house – its small. Its also very over looked by both neighbours who are very elderly and both always comment that I am hardly working when I am outside. And I can’t say its my day off as they then insist on me going for coffee and then forgetting the next day and claiming they havent seen me for months. So my favourite spot is near the honeysuckle and jasmin bush as that way I am not seen by one side so cut elderly interactions down by half. Its also rather loevly smelling there too which is a plus. I will read, get hot, have a drink, get hot ,need the loo, get hot, read, have a drink………you get the picture.
My other perfect afternoons include a stroll around the craft shops. Being down in Cornwall there isnt that many though I do have Hobbycraft and The Range to choose from.
In complete contrast I also love a good winters afternoon where the rain is hitting the windows, the cat is cold so on my lap and I am all tucked up inside the house. A slong as I dont have to go out anywhere that too is a perfect afternoon for me.
