Day 13: Name your favourite smell, taste, view, sound and texture OR Craft something that has a music theme
Morning crafters, hope you are all able to enjoy the lovely sunshine. Yet again its another gorgeous day here so I will be out there again later.
My favourite smell – I think this year its the lovely smells wafting across the garden from the flowers. Up till now I have been a veg gardener and this year has been the first year I have had proper scented flowers in the garden. First there is the honeysuckle that’s going for garden domination. I had to trim it yesterday as otherwise it was going to win. Buried amid the leaves i found a forgotten jasmine. And its in flower too. Now it can see the sunlight a bit better I kept smelling that yesterday. Oh and the pinks or carnations are smelling good too and survived the cat laying on them.
Favourite taste – hmm thats a hard one. Think its either a mango juice or melons at the moment. Both good old summer favourites. Did hear of a good summer pudding the other day that I think I will be trying. It was jelly made with sparkling wine ( so adult pudding as the alcohol doesn’t evaporate) and set in a ring shaped tin. Once set turn over onto a plate and then fill the middle with fruit, any fruit you have but strawberries and raspberries look the best. Job done. The bubbles do stay in the jelly so looks pretty too. Or a child friendly alternative lemonade and elder flower cordial.
Favourite View – that has to be when you wake up and look out the window and their isnt a cloud in the sky. When you see that i think it doesnt matter what your day is it will be a happy day with the sun shining.
Favourite texture – that has to be clean white Egyptian cotton bedding. I had a set sent to me for review through my other blog and at 600 count it is the best. That has got to be the best texture and feeling in the world.
Hmmm none of that was at all crafty BUT I have got a card to share tomorrow that was made this week so hopefully that makes up for it.
