…to show you the cards I finished off this morning and the Fathers Day card I did for a friend to give to their Dad. The Fathers day card is a digi that I printed onto water colour paper and then used Tim Holtz Distressed Inks to colour. First time I have used inks to colour and I quiet like the effect and fairly easy to use.
This card was made using spellbinders, white card and distress ink. We had a bit of confusion on the spelling of the great grandchild as neither the proud great Gran or I knew if Isobel has an O or an I. I think whichever way I went I would get it wrong.
Lastly a wedding card. I love doing this style card ( you probably noticed it makes a regular appearance ) as its just so easy. One sizzix ornate oval die. Hand punch flowers and then shape them with a embossing tool and then glue it all.
I have been watching C&C most of today as I am a lover of Spellbinders and they were launching their Christmas dies. Now half of me got all excited and christmassed right up …for a few minutes. But then my sensible bit kicked in and reminded me that it is only June, we’ve not reached the longest day yet, admittedly its tomorrow and the bank manager really wouldn’t understand if I said I had to have the C&C blockbuster as it has the most gorgeous Christmas die wreath that would look just so brilliant on all my cards this year. So I sat on my hands and just watched. Even I got fed up and had to switch over. I am in two minds if to make christmas stock this year. With so many people selling cards and with high streets offering 5 cards for £1 (!!!) I just cant justify selling them . But I fear if I don’t make the Christmas stock I will regret it. Ho hum…I will think on it some more. Have you started your Christmas craft planning yet?
