Its not very often I do cards for the boys or dads of the world so this is a bit of a change for me.
Promakers, exact colours below.
Tim Holtz distressed ink in Tea Dye.
Wild Rose Studio Clear Stamp, Dad Balloons
From my craft room – guillotine, glue and 5×7 card blank.
First I stamped the image onto white card and then coloured him in with my promarkers. For the teddy I used Caramel on the edges and blended that into Sandstone. I didn’t completely fill the teddy with the Sandstone and where I stopped I used a blender pen to soften the edge. For the D’s and teddys tie I used Indigo , True Blue and Cobalt. For the letter A and parcels I used Sky Blue and Arctic. I trimmed the image to 10.5cm x 8cm and inked the edge with distressed ink in Tea Dye. I the mounted the image onto brown card ( 11cm x 8.5cm) and then onto blue card(11.5cm x 9cm)
Next I made some background papers. Not use to doing manly cards my backing papers stash is somewhat geared towards girls so got to work with the promarkers. I cut two pieces of white card (11.5cm x 5cm and 10.5cm x 10cm ). On one I randomly coloured spots on the other I did spots in a triangle pattern using the same promarkers I used for the colouring in. ( and for the agar eyed the recipe ingredients are for apple strudel for my tea)
I stuck the two background pieces on the card blank and then added the image. I finished it off with liquid pearls in the corners.
